Welder/Fabricator

Great Falls, MT - Full Time

Sletten Construction is looking for Welder/Fabricators to support current construction projects. The Welder is
responsible for assisting the shop and construction teams to complete projects requiring welding and other tasks.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test as well as a weld test.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performing welding tasks on construction sites as well as in the shop
  • Utilize equipment to unload, stack, and organize steel materials
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs and materials usage
  • Effectively communicate with team members, vendors, and clients
  • Work with Foreman to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Perform equipment repair
  • Ensure welds meet required standards and specifications
  • Identify and correct any defects or deficiencies
  • Assist other craft workers as needed
  • Must work quickly, productively, and safely without error and consistently meet the production
  • goals as set by the Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager.
  • Must consistently produce quality workmanship as judged by company standards
  • Must comply with all company safety and personnel policies
Qualifications
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Welder/Fabricator
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including plan reading, weld symbol identification, layout, fitting, and welding
  • Experience with a variety of welding processes (e.g., FCAW-G, FCAW-S, GMAW, SMAW, PAC, OAC)
  • Must be over 18
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry 80 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, lift overhead, work at heights, walk/work in rough terrain in order to access equipment, tools, materials, and jobsite in order to complete work.

  • Work environment is changing and will be both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
